The Family Band has returned to Dawson City for their annual jamboree concert. But this year, their regular keys player has to be replaced by a local. Through this live bluegrass concert (and album release), secrets from the past are revealed and the band will have to work harder than ever to stay together.
I was lucky enough to be a part of the Storefront Theatre’s inaugural Playwrights’ Unit which culminated in a reading at the Indie 6ix Playwrights’ Festival. Because my piece was a new musical, and because that musical required the actors to perform as a band, it was a lot more than a traditional staged reading.
This piece is currently in development, and is looking for a home. If you’re interested, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
