I was lucky enough to shadow Philip Akin in his process of putting up this new play by Joseph Jomo Pierre. Philip is one of Canada’s great directors and his work is both in classical and contemporary text. Working with Philip was like taking a masterclass in the basics of directing, and I took away a lot from that process.
